Athena Hunter was born in Columbus, Ohio to her mother Kelly Hunter who is a teacher in Ohio. At the young age of 6 Athena began entertaining. She was advanced by age 8 in Tap, Jazz, and Ballet. By this time she had already taught herself how to sing. As a child Athena was always up to entertain a crowd, starting from preschool all the way to today. Once Athena was in middle school she found herself competing in pageants all the way through high school. In 2007 she held the title for Miss Teen Worthington, and from there realized she was ready to take on more with entertainment. At the young age of 16, Athena booked her first cartoon voice over job with a health company known as UrQuest. The short web series was titled "Starwell and friends". She landed the part of "Starlet", the lead characters love interest. After graduating from high school, Athena went on to attend The Ohio State University to study Communications. After realizing there was no way to truly pursue her dream in the entertainment industry in Columbus, her junior year of college she left Ohio to head out to Los Angeles, California in order to further her career with acting and singing. In March 2014 she landed her first principal role in the feature film "Restored Me" after the director, Reign Shaw reached out to her during her shift as his waitress. In the summer of 2014, Athena booked her first lead role in the short film "Somebody", directed by Miranda July. She is now working on new music as an independent artist and re-focusing on her acting career.
