Claudio Colomba

Claudio Colomba of Castellammare del Golfo, Sicily, is co-producer of "Leaves of the Tree". He was also the second unit director, and the unit production manager in Sicily. He recently cast and managed over 1000 extras for a major feature "A Bigger Splash", filmed on Pantelleria, an island between Sicily and Tunisia. "A Bigger Splash" stars Ralph Feinnes, Dakota Johnson and Tilda Swinton. Claudio runs CICI Films. Claudio co-founded "Zeroeuro Produkscion" (ZEP) in 2007, which produced many short films in Sicily, and now from its Milan base, has done commercials for McDonald's and other major corporations. In 2008, Claudio and ZEP, were selected by Oliviero Toscani to be part of his project "Terremoto". With Toscani, Claudio worked on numerous other projects, including 200 episodes of the series, "Close-up", focused on cinephile Youngman Kim's collection of over 50 thousand independent films, which lead to the creation of CICI Films. CICI and Claudio worked on production of videos in Sicily for the "Museum of the Mafia", which were screened in 2010 at the "Venice Biennale". CICI has since then has managed other productions in Sicily, projects for national, regional and local governments in Sicily, and the annual PLAS Festival. Claudio is managing for CICI, Project "Hologramme", a transnational Italy-Tunisia project for the enhancement of archaeological sites, including Segesta, Sicily, and Carthage, Tunisia. (See CICI Films entry). Claudio's latest works are "Villa Rosetta", a short film made in Rome as part of the 48 hours film project, and "Oh Ma" music video for the famous singer Aida Satta Flores. Claudio has a master's degree in filmmaking from the National Academy of Cinema in Bologna, Italy.
