James Healey

James Healey was born in Quebec, Canada. Having a love for the great outdoors, James moved to British Columbia in 2005. Mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing, hockey, skiing, scuba diving and camping are some of his favourite things to do. Shortly after moving, he developed an interest in photography. He became a photographer in the pro sports field covering sports such as the NHL (National Hockey League), MLS (Major League Soccer), CFL (Canadian Football League), WHL (Western Hockey League), World Cup mountain biking and others. Looking for more, he got interested in film making and developed a passion for it very quickly. The stills camera has since been collecting dust... He has worked as a 1st AC and camera operator on a multitude of indie films and music videos. He is a now full time dolly operator and is working towards a career as a director of photography.
