Jermaine Coles was raised in Roanoke, Virginia where he gained an ear for music while singing in the gospel choir at church and with high school chorus. After graduation from Marshall University, he played the lead role in a musical at NarroWay Production (Dinner Theatre) entitled, "The Gospel According to Tennessee." Jermaine then obtain more musical theatre roles at Sight & Sound Theatres and other local theatre companies, while gaining print model exposure with Verizon Fios, Toys R Us, Portrait Innovations, Aaron's Furniture, Lane Furniture, Broder Bros, Victory Motorcycle, and many more. In the summer of 2011, Jermaine first gained experience with directing while working as one of the actors in a local television children's series called Avenue C Television Show. It was there that he co-wrote scripts and first directed segments for his character called Crazy Caruso. The following year, Jermaine produced and directed his own children's online mini-series called Fun Arts Afterschool, which was comprised of educational sketch comedy segments , and lasted five years. Since then, Jermaine has been the assistant to producer Chapman Roberts with his shows including the Black Stars of the Great White Way, the Chapman Roberts Jazz Festival, and the Gospel According to Broadway at the Black Repertory Theatre of Winston Salem. Jermaine has also produced and directed multiple travel vlogs on YouTube, along with a documentary short entitled, "Paul, The Final Footsteps." His latest project includes producing, directing, editing and starring as the lead in the short film entitled, "New Life," and the original soundtrack which is available on music streaming services.
