Ulla Virtanen is a Finnish actor, writer and a comedian. She is classically trained, a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. Ulla is also an Upright Citizens Brigade alumni, having studied both in Los Angeles and New York schools and having finished their core training program. She performs in Finland with her improvisational theater VSOP, but her improvisational skills also exceed country borders. She has also several times performed improvisation comedy on main stage at the Del Close Marathon -festival, New York. In Finland, Ulla is a regularly seen on national TV. Her first TV live show was the Suorana:Kortesmäki (2013) live talk show on Finland's TV2, in which she worked as an in-house comedian, performing at the opening comedy sequence. She did over 80 live TV-performances. Nowadays she is seen on TV in various comedy and drama series, and has also acted in two feature films. She has also been a guest in many different entertainment shows. Additionally Ulla Virtanen writes scripts for TV. Ulla also had her own monthly column in one of the biggest women's magazines in Finland for over two years.. Among her other work experience is hosting radio shows: Morning radio show: Aamupojat (Radio NRJ) and Suorana:Virtanen (Radio YleX)
