Jamal Farrar

Jamal Farrar (6'3 256lb Athletic Build ) is a African American actor from North Carolina, At an early age he developed a love for performing and entertaining. His early years were a blueprint and basic foundation for the passion that would later develop. Jamal grew up in a family of singers and entertainers. His father and uncles sang in various local singing groups, and he followed their example singing in Middle and High School groups winning shows and contest. even performing for the Show Time at the Apollo... After High School and several run- ins with Police he began to study Sociology and Criminal Justice and eventually entered into a career in Law Enforcement with a focus on juveniles and at risk youth. From there he advanced to working for The Department of Justice. Still feeling the passion inside from his earlier years, he begin to actively seek out acting opportunities. He begin acting in theater productions , studying acting techniques and taking acting classes.. Productions like Ragtime , A Raisin in the Sun , Color Purple Musical , Church Folks and Black Nativity helped to further shape him as an actor. He soon transitioned from Theater into Film/ Television appearing in several Feature Films, Short Films , Music Videos and Commercials also writing and directing music videos and short films. Jamal continues to study and learn by taking on new challenges as an actor. His experience has allowed him to travel from Atlanta to LA and Milwaukee,WI He seeks Lead, Supporting and Principle roles that allow him to utilize his vast arsenal of character interpretations .
