David "Maggot" McDonough has been pouring out his brand of entertainment for the last two decades in the form of music and film. His style is charmingly compared to the works of George A. Romero and Frank Henenlotter with it's humor, gore and fun spirit. In 1995 he fronted multiple bands including Upon Crimson Wings and by 2000 he was touring all over the East Coast. In 1996 during his freshman year he found himself as one of the main editors in his schools film/TV communications class, it's here in this class he started toning his filmmaking and acting chops. After high school he found himself working in different circles of filmmakers like Dan Lozzi and his Outlook documentaries, that focused on the heroin epidemic in the south shore of Massachusetts while the problem was still in its infancy and David's first feature film "Roommates" co- directed with Dann Thombs. After production wrapped David started spending more time in Brooklyn, New York doing the writing and pitching thing for a couple years and then 2013 he returned to Massachusetts to write his next feature film Groundhog. Which was produced and presented by fellow Massachusetts filmmaker Mathew Fisher under Fisher's production/distribution company BoomBastic Films and released in 2017.
