Blythe Leszkay

Blythe Leszkay has been a criminal attorney since 2002. She has been both a defense attorney and a prosecutor. She has appeared in every level of court in California (both state and federal courts). She has worked on every kind of case imaginable, including capital murders, white collar crimes, gang crimes, sex crimes, and juvenile crimes. Blythe consults on scripts and films in the criminal law genre (legal drama or legal thriller). She is a strong believer that, in this genre particularly, getting it right can mean making it great. Blythe writes a website and blog aimed at helping writers and filmmakers get it right. A free writer's guide is available there. Blythe has also spoken at filmmaker and writer conferences. Prior to law school, Blythe worked in many aspects of television and film production, including script reading, production assistance, and video editing. Consulting on films and television projects allows Blythe to combine two of her passions - criminal law and film.
