Beth Bartley made her Broadway debut in the Tony nominated play, Fortune's Fool, directed by Arthur Penn. Notable off-Broadway/ regional theatre credits include Comedy of Errors, directed by John Rando, and Orpheus Descending, directed by Austin Pendleton. Beth is a graduate of The Juilliard School. Beth grew up in Mariemont, a suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio, designed by town planner John Nolen. Her siblings are Paul Bartley and Christina Bartley. Her father, a violinist and physicist, specializing in quantum mechanics, and her mother, a librarian and avid reader, reside in Ohio near a dog water park, where their golden retriever Daisy enjoys diving into the lake. When Beth was about 13, she saw Ginny Hoffman play Blanche in "A Streetcar Named Desire" at the Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati, with Gary Sandy as Stanley. It ignited a life long passion for Tennessee Williams. At 17, the Interlochen Arts Academy faculty recognized this interest and cast the young Beth as Blanche in Streetcar. She went on to perform, sometimes annually, in Tennessee Williams festivals in New Orleans, Provincetown, and Columbus, MS, playing Catherine Holly in "Suddenly Last Summer" and Carol Cutrere in "Orpheus Descending". In 2013, she produced Tennessee Williams' The Mutilated in New York, starring Mink Stole and Penny Arcade. The critically acclaimed production was nominated for a Drama League Award. Beth loves to cook, bake, drive Go Karts, collect poetry books- and of course, Williams plays.
