Born in 1995, Azores, Portugal, Antonio Sequeira is an award-winning director and writer whose films have participated in a number of high profile festivals including the Academy Award Qualifying 'Encounters Film Festival', 'Short Shorts Film Festival', 'Camerimage' and the BAFTA Qualifying 'Norwich Film Festival', among others. 'Autumn' is his debut feature based on a script that was developed with the aid of the Torino Film Lab. In addition to completing his next screenplay, Angel Boy, he directed the limited series 'Instaverse' for Portuguese broadcaster, RTP. He is also the founder of film production company Movie Monkeys and recently co-founded Kurious Studios with producer Steven Flynn and recurring creative partner, Anastasiia Vorotniuk. Antonio is a graduate of the London Film School with an MA in Filmmaking. While studying, Antonio won a funding prize to shoot a short film to promote positive mental health, entitled "A Son Like Others", which allowed him to take his skills to another level, winning with it the Grand Prix at "FEST-New Directors" and being selected by "Close-up Culture" as one of the best short films of 2019.
