Bruce Baek is an American actor. He was born in Seoul, South Korea moved to Glen Rock, New Jersey. He is an alumnus of the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York City, where he received the full academic scholarship awarded by Anna Strasberg and studied under some of the most legendary and iconic teachers in 'Method' acting. Even after two years of intense & grueling training from the LSTFI, he continued his academic journey to extensively study 'Meisner' & 'Adler' techniques with some of the legendary Hollywood heavyweights. A rising star & steadily working actor in both Hollywood & New York, Bruce is considered one of the most authentic & skillfully spoken actors, especially for the 'KOREAN' language in the state, with various Korean dialects & diction skills (see trivia). Many dramaturges highly praised his portrayal of UNCLE in Julia Cho's "Aubergine'"at South Coast Repertory (CA), including the playwright herself as the "most truthful, authentic & purely organic interpretation of the character." Recently, he reprised the role of HAK Oh-Seong on the Emmy Award-winning TV series, "The Flight Attendant"(HBOMAX) as a top North Korean assassin/spy on a relentless hunt. He is the founder of EPI. (Emotional Proficiency Integration) technique/system, in which he incorporates the traditional American acting technique with the Korean acting style -to push the boundaries of the actor's 'emotional proficiency.' During his downtime, Bruce can be seen with his family strolling the New York City streets or enjoying his favorite cup of coffee under the Southern California sun.
