Anthony Houhoulis is an American polymath active as a filmmaker, musician, poet, entrepreneur, photographer, painter and writer. Known for Interested Anthony (2020), Letting Go (2014) and 128 Years (2019), he is set to star in the upcoming television series How to Get Famous Without Trying. Houhoulis published his debut poetry collection, Ripping Leaves, on 15 December 2021. He has photographed numerous historical landmarks, including the Stadium at Olympia, Louisa May Alcott's Orchard House and the Holocaust of Kalavryta memorial. He holds a bachelor's degree from The University of Arizona and is a postgraduate student at Harvard University. Houhoulis was born in Boston, Massachusetts. He received his first violin at the age of two and began classical training soon after. He was named captain of the New England Stars (U14) ice hockey team at twelve years old, and competed in the CAN/AM Challenger Cup in Lake Placid, NY. He would go on to lead the team in goals and points, scoring on both the 1932 and 1980 Olympic rinks. After winning the bronze medal, the team would go on to win the league and regional championships. During this time, he created some of his earliest short films and musical compositions. He traveled across Greece, as a teenager, photographing historical landmarks, including the Stadium at Olympia's vaulted tunnel and the Holocaust of Kalavryta memorial. He participated in the drama program Proscenium Circus, alongside YouTuber Ted Nivison, acting in a number of plays. He performed in a stage production of The Filmmaker's Mystery, playing the role of Detective Kinderman, in John Hancock Hall at Boston's Back Bay Events Center. Houhoulis received his bachelor's degree from The University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. He made the dean's list with distinction, finishing his final two years of undergraduate studies with perfect grades. He is a master's degree candidate, studying museology and art forgery prevention, at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In 2019, Houhoulis made his theatrical directorial debut, with the short film 128 Years (2019). The film premiered at the Downtown Independent cinema, in Los Angeles, California. Following a limited theatrical release, the film became available for worldwide streaming on Amazon Prime Video. From 2020 to 2021, he hosted the podcast Interested Anthony (2020), with guests including Caylee Cowan, Kathy Garver, and Dallas Morning News photographer Evans Caglage. In December 2021, he released his debut poetry collection, Ripping Leaves. As of 2022, he is set to star in the upcoming television series How to Get Famous Without Trying.
