The multifaceted director Roodmy Poulard, born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, began his career as a music video director. In 2014, he migrated to America in pursuit of film and television. In a two year span, Roodmy became a prominent photographer for NYFW private shows and begun his production work for celebrities ranging from Emmy award winner Cicely Tyson to becoming a part of hiphop musical legend Sean Diddy Combs production team and one of his current personal cinematographers. As an independent director and cinematographer, he is well respected for his impact and innovative approach to film and television through his work with Netflix, HBO, MTV, BET, Pandora, Velvet Film and Revolt. Directing music videos, commercials, TV segments, short films, independent feature films and documentaries has been paramount in the growth of his success. Since then, he has debuted his first independent feature film which is now a primary focus. In addition, he is the founder of Poulard films, an independent film and production company which has taken a leadership stance in helping working creatives and filmmakers build high quality content. Roodmy strongly believes that the camera is more than just a tool to create, "It's an instrument of truth, installation of hope that reminds us of a remarkable past but yet a more promising future that connects us all."
