"Right-Back, Serge Aurier, was born on 24th December 1992 in Ouragahio, Ivory Coast. Aurier moved to France at a young age and came through the ranks at French club Lens and moved to Toulouse in January, 2012, where his performances earned him a place in the 2013/14 Ligue 1 'Team of the Year.' The Ivory Coast international signed for Paris Saint-Germain in July, 2014, initially on loan before making the move permanent in April, 2015, and went on to appear 81 times and score five goals for the Parisians. While at the Parc des Princes, Serge won two Ligue 1 titles, three French Cups, three French League Cups, four French Super Cups and was named in the Ligue 1 'Team of the Year' for a second time in 2015/16. Serge Aurier joined Tottenham Hotspur in August, 2017. He scored his first goal for the club in unconventional circumstances in a 2-0 home win over Brighton & Hove Albion in December, 2017, as his cross from the right flank sailed all the way in at the back post. His second goal was more straightforward - a late header in a 4-1 victory at Bournemouth in March, 2018. By the end of his debut season, he had made 17 Premier League appearances, six in the Champions League and played once in the FA Cup. In his second season with Spurs - 2018/19 - he made 17 appearances in all competitions, including five starts in the run to the Champions League Final. He scored twice during that season, both goals coming in the same game - a 7-0 thrashing of Tranmere Rovers in the third round of the FA Cup in January, 2019. That month also saw him named in the 2018 Confederation of African Football 'Best XI of the Year.' He represented his country at the 2014 World Cup and was selected in the 2015 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) 'Team of the Tournament' when the Ivory Coast lifted the trophy. He captained his nation at the 2019 AFCON in Egypt."
