Karen Cook

She was born in Wise, Virginia. She grew up in the town of Appalachia, Virginia. It is a small coal mining town. Her father worked in the mines for 35yrs. her mother was a stay at home mom, who has deceased. She went to Appalachia High School. Graduated in 1977. She was very active in her school. She was a cheerleader all four years. Also, played in the band in the spring. Played girls basketball and member of SCA and FBA. She went to Bristol College in Bristol, Virginia. Received a associates degree. She moved to Northern Virginia to work for the phone company. Worked for Bell Atlantic in Arlington, Virginia for many years. She married in 1983 and had to move because of her husbands job. She had her first child in 1985 and second in 1991. After moving to many states she found herself and family back to Northern Virginia. When the children got older she took a position as Library Assistant in a elementary school where she lives in Ashburn, Virginia. She then decided to go for a life dream to work in the film industry. Something she never thought she could. Reached out and applied for a feature film as a supporting role. She got it and the rest is history. She loves what she does and looks forward to many rewarding roles.
