The New Colony Six was a rock vocal group that was formed in Chicago, IL, in 1965. They released some singles that were hits in the Chicago area, but nothing that charted nationally (their original records were released by Sentar Records, which was owned by the families of several of the group's members). The original members were Ray Graffia Jr., Chick James, Pat McBride, Craig Kemp, Wally Kemp and Gerry van Kollenburg. They had their first big hit in 1968 with "I Will Always Think About You", which hit #22 on Billboard's Hot 100 list. They charted again the next year with "Things I'd Like to Say", which reached $16 on the Hot 100. They had some minor hits after that, and a string of personnel changes starting in 1969 didn't help their career much. The group finally broke up in late 1974. In 1988 original members Ray Graffia and Bruce Mattey re-formed the group, using the same name but with new members, and they they began performing and touring.
