Robby Justiss is a writer and actor currently residing in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Morgantown, WV. He began his career as one of the youngest published freelance critics ever in his home state of West Virginia, writing a weekly column for The Dominion Post titled Movie Justiss. He went on to make his own films writing, producing, and acting in numerous shorts that have premiered at film festivals across the world including. but not limited to, the Cannes International Film Festival and Sundance Film Festival (out of competition). In 2019 his play The Monster that Comes at Night premiered at The Tank Theatre in New York City as apart of Elephant Room Productions The Fifth Vital Sign series of one act plays tackling the opioid crisis. He is a graduate of The Second City Film School (formerly Harold Ramis Film School at The Second City), and an alumni of West Virginia University and Creative Mind Group. He studied improv and sketch performance, graduating from the prestigious Second City Conservatory at The Second City Training Center in Chicago, Illinois in 2020. He serves as Co-founder and Producer at The Country Gentleman, a small production company in Chicago, Illinois and as Resident Director at Seven Stories Theatre Company.
