Biography

Actress Shannon Hemmings was born in Miami, Florida but her roots link back to Jamaica, Trinidad, and Scotland. At the age of 3, Shannon's mother put her in ice skating classes and that is where her love for performing began. She later took dance classes and then in middle school she found the art form that would unknowingly change the course of her life forever, Acting. She auditioned and was accepted into the prestigious Theatre magnet program at Michael Krop Sr. High school and then went on to study TV, Film and Theatre in college. In May of 2014, Shannon graduated from the University of West Florida with her Bachelor of Arts degree. Since her move to Atlanta in after graduation, she has performed in various Theatre productions as well as short films. Her roles include Mama, Mrs. Grandy, and Success in the original children's play "DREAMS," the leading role of Tam in the short film "Naïve Haze," Sarah in the short "It's Never Too Late," and she has played a variety of fun and quirk
