Amir Muhammad is a film-maker and composer based in New Jersey. A graduate from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Amir received his B.A in Film, spending much of his time writing, composing, editing, and directing short films and senior thesis projects. Receiving guidance from his father Rashad Muhammad, an music engineer and mixer, his composing influences range from Ramin Djawadi and Cliff Martinez, to Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross. His films range from family dramas to dark comedies and sci-fi, ranging on a keen interest of working with people of color, women, and youth. Noah Baumbach, Edward Yang, Charles Burnett, and Sofia Coppola are amongst his influences.
