Gabriel Crutchfield was born in Knoxville, TN. He spent eight years working in news before entering competitions at film festivals as a hobby in 2012. Since then, he has completed six short films, including This Is Not a Game (2014). His achievements include "Movie We'd Most Like to See" in the 2013 Knoxville Horror Film Festival's Grindhouse Grindout competition as well as "Best Use of Elements" in the 2014 Knoxville 24-hour Film Festival.
