Born in December 1966. Educated in the West midlands before moving to Mid Wales at 18 to work as an outdoor pursuit's instructor. In 1989 Rock was privileged to hold the position of base camp manager to the British Icelandic Expedition. The first ever successful crossing of the vast Vatnajökull icecap in winter and on foot. In 1995 after a number of years teaching outdoor pursuits, Rock had the opportunity to act in a movie called "On Dangerous Ground" Starring Rob Lowe and directed by Lawrence Gordon Clark. This was a reward for taking the crew abseiling down the magnificent Lake Vyrnwy dam one evening. Rock was given a fight scene with Rob Lowe and became good friends with many of the cast and crew. Almost immediately he went on to play a supporting artist role in "An Englishman Who Went Up a Hill and Came Down a Mountain", starring Hugh Grant. In retrospect Rock says he should have continued pursuing his acting career at that point but he instead continued teaching in Mid Wales. Some years later when his Mother became sick, he returned to the Midlands to help look after her. It was here that he met his future wife Amanda, a newly qualified nurse. In 2002, a year after his mother died, he and Amanda were married. In 2008 he became a Father to a beautiful boy- Oliver George, also now a natural story teller and very talented singer who is following his Father into the wonderful world of theatre and film. Rock always instinctively knew that he not only wanted to act but that he wanted his career to be that of a "professional" actor which he became in 2014 and has acted in a number of television programmes and in numerous TV and feature movies. It was during this time that Rock met his great friends and now fellow directors Jon Woodrow, Derek Vernon and Ian Dangerfield. Fascinated with every aspect of movie making Rock turned his hand to directing. His debut in this field was a movie called THE MAN ON THE DOORSTEP which Rock received an honourary mention award at the Los Angeles film awards in 2018. Rock is now a keen screenplay writer and has written, produced and co- directed a World War One feature film called ELEVEN which premiered in London on the 100th anniversary of Armistice day- November 11th 2018 just fourteen months after being written. Jon Woodrow and Derek Vernon both played a lead role in this movie and Ian Dangerfield did a magnificent job as sound engineer and photographer. During that production the bonds between Rock and these three talented men were cemented forever. Rock's first attempt at writing a screenplay was a Western movie called MISS HARPER & CO back in 2015. In 2019, after connecting with actress Susan George, Rock was put in touch with award winning producer Tom Reeve who persuaded Rock to turn his original 120-page script into an eight-episode series for TV (over 400 pages). This was certainly a challenge but with Tom working as a co-writer Rock and Tom achieved this with flying colours and now MISS HARPER & CO is in pre- production. Rock is also a fellow director of EPIC 4 Ltd. A production company with a broad range of services to the film/TV and music industry. The creation of EPIC 4 Ltd was the obvious and natural step for all its directors. Rock remains excited, enthused and optimistic for the future and has a number of screenplays ready to produce.
