Cara Winter holds a BFA from New York University / Tisch School of the Arts, and is a member of Actor's Equity Association and the Dramatists Guild of America. As a screenwriter, her original TV pilot "Evolution" won 1st Prize in the 2015 People's Pilot, and was a Finalist in the ScreenCraft Pilot Launch competition, and is now actively being pitched to various networks and production companies. Her "The Newsroom" spec won 1st Prize in the 2013 Spec Scriptacular, and was a 2nd Rounder at the Austin Film Festival. As a playwright, Cara's work has been seen at The Present Company, The New London Barn Playhouse, The Great American Melodrama, and Manhattan Repertory Theater (in conjunction with Tony Award®-winning producers Anna & Alan Ostroff). Presently, Cara is working on her first novel, occasionally writing for GrokNation, and developing her first short film with Writer/Producer George Ellzey Jr.
