Daniel J. Egbert was awarded "Best Director" at the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival, 2018. He began his professional career at twenty-seven, directing the feature documentary, Project 22 (2015) which was deemed, "The catalyst for a movement that will define a generation." The film's success garnered him early, international notoriety. Daniel was born in 1986 on Long Island, New York. In 2004, at just seventeen years of age, he enlisted into the United States Marine Corps Infantry, deploying four times, including both the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. After seven years of service, and being wounded by the enemy in combat, Daniel was awarded the Purple Heart and honorably discharged. Later, he attended Hunter College and The Los Angeles Film School, graduating as Valedictorian in 2018 with a Bachelor's of Science in Directing and Screenwriting. Daniel continues to write and direct in Los Angeles, California.
