Ana Gloria

Ana Gloria Varona was a Cuban dancer who achieved great popularity in the 1950s with dancing partner Rolando García. Their act was named "Ana Gloria y Rolando", and for a long time they were the featured dancers at Havana's famous Tropicana Night Club. They also performed often on national Cuban television and toured the American continent several times appearing in theaters, night clubs and television. Besides being a great dancer of popular rhythms, Ana Gloria was also one of the most beautiful women of her generation. At one point she was married to Cuban Congressman Luis del Pozo, a son of Havana's mayor José Luis del Pozo. With the arrival of the Cuban revolution in 1959, Ana Gloria went into exile in Mexico and very little has been heard about her since then.
