Hilary Gumbel is an author, philanthropist and freelance television producer. Ms. Gumbel has over 18 years of experience as an advocate and fundraiser for UNICEF USA. In addition to serving on Unicef's national board of directors, Hilary was employed as senior advisor to UUSA; her role focused on cultivating UUSA brand marketing strategy, and celebrity ambassador program. In her work to increase visibility and funds for the neediest children worldwide she has traveled to Vietnam, Uruguay, Angola, Peru, Haiti and Guatemala to visit in country Unicef programs. In 2013 Hilary created the national best-selling cookbook, UniChef Top Chefs Unite; a first of its kind collaboration of top celerity chefs joining forces to help kids - with 100% of Ms. Gumbel's royalties donated directly to UNICEF. Hilary is the executive producer of a television special based on the book, UniChef, Uniting Through Food which aired on both The Learning channel and Discovery channel. Prior to moving to New York in 1999, Hilary worked in several brokerage firms before joining Goldman Sachs where she worked for six years. Ms. Gumbel resides in NY and Florida with her husband, television journalist Bryant Gumbel.
