Aisha Saran

Aisha Saran is a Philadelphia-based actress whose artistic roots were always within her. As a child Aisha was very energetic, friendly, and intrigued by the world around her and often drew pictures as a creative outlet. Often enough, children her age would suggest that she become an artist in the future due to how much she drew and how well the pictures turned out. As she aged however, Aisha began to find television and movies interesting and had a knack for remembering the smallest of details from different programs she watched. She also was extremely observant of human behavior which contributed to her skill of imitating people. Within church, Aisha would often participate in different plays and skits as a way to keep the congregation engaged and entertained. From there she was bitten by the acting bug, but did not dive head first into the craft right away. As she transitioned into junior high and high school, Aisha remained involved in different clubs and extra-curricular activities. Simultaneously, however, she began to discover one of her biggest interests: literature. Aisha always excelled in English and specifically fell in love with the works of William Shakespeare. Following high school graduation, she attended Lincoln University of Pennsylvania. There she helped to re-launch the university's drama ministry (which at the time was on a long hiatus). The drama ministry was one of the few outlets for acting outside of vocal performance majors and students who had their own cameras and crew. During her senior year in college, Aisha went home for spring break and attended a screenwriting workshop suggested by a friend. It was there where she came across professional actors who read aloud award-winning screenplays by a few members of the audience. Since that experience in 2013, Aisha has appeared in various film, television, and theatre productions. She is always working to further develop her craft and writes her own material.
