The daughter of legendary country singer Glen Campbell and his fourth wife Kim Campbell, singer, songwriter, and banjo player Ashley Campbell was encouraged by her parents to sing and play the piano while growing up. Ashley added playing acoustic guitar to her musical talents, once she began attending high school. Moreover, Campbell also landed roles in improv groups and local musicals. Ashley went on to attend college as a theater major. Ashley first picked up the banjo after a director cast her in a role which required that she learn to play that particular instrument. Campbell subsequently mastered her own banjo technique, under the expert tutelage of her godfather and noted banjo player, Carl Jackson. Following graduation from college, Ashley joined up as part of the band as a banjo player, keyboardist, and harmony vocalist for her father Glen's farewell tour, that he did in the wake of being diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Campbell has since branched out to pursue a solo career. Her debut single "Remembering", a touching tribute to her famous father, was released on June 29, 2015.
