Khurram H. Alavi is a Pakistani director and screenwriter with over 15 years of experience in the animation sector. He made his directorial debut with 'Bilal: A New Breed of Hero,' an animated epic based on one of Arabian history's most revered personalities. A childhood obsession with animation, comics, and pop culture drove Khurram to pursue a career in visual entertainment. The idea of creating brave new worlds via impactful stories that challenge norms (and resonate with filmmakers and viewers alike) form the core of Khurram's creative development process. He carries a particular love for American, Chinese, and Japanese cinema (art & action), aspiring to achieve his own bold, emotional language in cinematic storytelling akin to his favorite master filmmakers, Ridley Scott, Zhang Yimou, and Hiyo Mayazaki. Hailing from the prestigious Indus Valley School of Art & Architecture in Pakistan, his experience in the field is diverse. Well aware of all creative and technical processes, emerging technologies that make animated stories timeless and unique.
