Zaden (Elias The'Wolf Ignacious) Lipman has trained in schools such as the Amherst Consortium; American Conservatory of Theater; the National Theatre Institute, and Complicite; as well as Double Edge; University of Oxford, England; and California's University of Berkeley. After receiving varied accolades from his string of alma mater, Zaden spent an eventful six years working the continental North East, with the last three years focused in New York. Now beginning work on the West Coast as well, Zaden continues his pursuits in experimental theater, commercial and film, as well as modeling. -------------/------------------ Zaden Lipman grew up in San Francisco splitting time between his divorced mother and father, Melanie Barna and Elliott Lipman. Melanie works as a chef, visual artist, yoga teacher, and San Francisco public design contributor. Elliott was a musician and musical trader. When Zaden was 10 years old, his father took his own life. Zaden and Melanie relocated, with Zaden switching schools many times until years later, a middle school counselor said they didn't see Zaden having any future success and that he would be held back. In response, Zaden shifted his studies and maintained highest honors throughout the continuation of his entire education: which took him to places such as Oxford University, American Conservatory of Theatre, and the National Theatre Institute. Zaden's foray into acting began with his entering Tamalpais High School. The high school's program was state esteemed and difficult to gain entry to, but Zaden saw this as another way to disprove the words of his middle school counselor and others with a similar voice towards his abilities. In his theatre studies, Zaden found he had a natural talent for the craft, playing the lead in most productions. Despite his passion and skill for acting, Zaden entered his higher education with plans to become a neuroscientist - an interest which arose from Zaden's want to understand his father's drug addiction and depression, and then further influenced by his mother's near death from a serious head injury during Zaden's junior year of high school. However, during college, Zaden had multiple friends from his high school theatre department die suddenly. Both his respect and admiration for those lost, and his seeing them as a mirror to himself, and to his mortality, lead Zaden to decide he'd like to pursue acting and that he could come back to sciences. He moved to Boston and worked in their theatre and film scene to build himself before graduating to a larger hub such as New York or Los Angeles. Zaden's work in Boston led to his acceptance at San Francisco's American Conservatory Theater, which then gained his entry to Connecticut's National Theater Institute. On his completion of studies with NTI, Zaden drove to New York and began living on couches until finding a rental on the Bedford Stuyvesant, Bushwick border of Brooklyn, NY. Spaces continued to change as Zaden became more established in the city, living for a time in the Lower East Side, then settling into Brooklyn's Greenpoint neighborhood. He continues working as an actor throughout the boroughs, while also splitting his time working in LA; which he first visited in 2017. That visit came as a result of Zaden's theatre studies and interests shifting further to an interest in television and independent film. Zaden also writes and directs, and has done light, sound, set, and costume design. Recently, Zaden began pursuing his interest in stand up and sketch comedy.
