Greg Beck is an actor, writer and comedian from Seattle, Washington, born to Donald E. Beck [salesman] and Barbara E. Beck (Corbin) [homemaker]. Began his stand-up comedy career as a senior in high school, where he won the district talent show and performed at graduation events to close out that chapter of his life. Once in college, made a fateful choice about his career path. Deciding that the grind of performing in small clubs on the circuit wasn't for him, he walked away from both stand-up and acting by the early 1990's. Soon thereafter, got married, started a family, got a job and forgot about his childhood dreams. Fast forward twenty years, and Greg is now living in Southern California. After two divorces, raising a daughter from afar, and a two-decade career in the video game industry, began thinking about the promises he made to himself when he was younger. Following the death of his childhood idol Robin Williams, Greg returned to acting by attending classes at South Coast Repertory Theatre in Costa Mesa, California. On his girlfriend's 40th birthday, he and a group of friends went to Flappers Comedy Club in Claremont, California to catch a show. On the table that night was a postcard to sign up for a "first-time funnies" program. Thinking about the 25 years that had passed since his last stand-up performance, threw his name in the ring. A few weeks later, was booked for his first performance. That lead to other clubs around Southern California which finally brought him to The Comedy Store stage. Performing at The Comedy Store fulfilled many of those childhood dreams, and brought him closer to achieving his ultimate goal: becoming a working actor in Hollywood.
