Daniel Kulle was born in Moers, Germany. He studied Biology and Ecology, going on field trips to Antarctica, the Namib desert or New Zealand. He continued with film studies, writing his PhD thesis on Edward D. Wood Jr. and the question how films can be so bad they're good. In 2014 he began to make his own films, starting with the documentary short 'Hi ;-)' (2014), the experimental short 'No Face' (2015) and the fictional short 'In Deiner Haut' (2016).
