This Italian-American kid at heart grew up in New Jersey, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Having trained in film acting at college in the City by the Bay, he headed to the City of Angels, where he first ventured before the camera and authored his first screenplay, the rags-to-riches, tragicomic timepiece "Gaetano, the Charming Sicilian" (based on a true story). On an existential quest and at the turn of the New Millennium, Mr. Zingale headed to Spain where, amongst various pursuits, he furthered his training and worked on commercials. His epiphany that film was meant to be his calling in life came in 2012 while shooting an MTV music video, when he received an ovation from the entire crew after the first take of an improv. Right then and there, he vowed to pursue acting and screenwriting in earnest. After his breakthrough role as none other than an unsavory Hollywood producer in El crac (2014), he went on earning credits as a reliable and versatile character actor while also penning his second screenplay, the 5G sci-fi MMA actioner "Thunderbolt". Mr. Zingale is now expanding his horizons as a multilingual actor, with recent roles in Spanish, and writer, as he hammers away at the beat sheet for his third screenplay, the zany dramedy "Kentucky Fried Karma". A native speaker of both English and Spanish, Don Zingale is also decently versed in Italian. He enjoys contact sports, meditation, chess and, above all, an interesting, well-told, well-played story. The kid at heart is still growing up... and strong.
