David M. Rountree

Born in 1954 in Suffolk, Virginia, David moved to Delray Beach, Florida, in the fall of 1963. In 1981 David began his production experience as the Technical Director at the University of Florida. David's background is in Electrical Engineering, Audio Engineering, Acoustic Engineering, Physics, History and Archaeology. Aside from live performance production he also worked as a Lighting Designer/Director on several gubernatorial candidate debates for the Sunshine Network, and several live musical events for WUFT-TV, an affiliate of PBS. Additionally David volunteered to work on several productions at the Gainesville Community Theater (Gainesville, Florida) and was the Technical Director of the University Performing Arts Series. He was the TD for the first two locally produced opera performances of Porgy and Bess and Madam Butterfly, and designed lighting for numerous dance companies as well as musical acts. For forty years, from 1976-2016, David researched the paranormal from a scientific perspective. The result culminated with his theory "Wormholes and Emerging Information" as an explanation for the mechanics of a paranormal event. The paper is published on Researchgate.net and Academia.edu David was the Technical consultant for destination America's Ghost Stalkers, basically designing on screen experiments that mirrored his research using equipment he designed at his laboratory, S.P.I.R.I.T. Lab. Scientific Paranormal Investigative Research and Information Technology was founded by David in Gainesville Florida in the Early 90's. He also played himself in the show. Currently he is working on independent projects. An avid adventurer and author, David enjoys the outdoors and travels extensively during the summer to investigate archaeological mysteries. He is part owner of Jolly Roger Productions, based in Ocala Florida, where he produces, directs, writes and acts in various speculative projects. He lives in Hackettstown, NJ.
