Mary McGahren, an American actor, is a born Yankee and the youngest of 4. She fell in love with literature, visual art, dance, music and theater early in life, playing her first role at age 5 as "Farmerette Brown," a role originally written for a boy. Mary pursued acting exclusively throughout grade and high school, doing community plays and musicals; during high school, she wrote and performed with an improv company, starred in her first paying role, and participated in theater competition. She took a long break from acting to earn degrees in English and Graphic Design and to travel and work abroad in the UK, doing plays, short films, and live performance along the way. She returned to acting to study with her mentor, actor/director Jon Menick, at the Screen Artists Co-op, where she mentored other actors. Mary recently relocated to New York City.
