Tirrell Vernon Coleman, was born on September 16, 1985, in Washington, DC. He was raised by his biological parents Willie Coleman and Stephanie Coleman. His father served the Marine Corp. and worked as a correctional officer at the The District of Columbia Jail, and later in the Army Reserves and did two tours of active duty in Afghanistan, and Iraq. Tirrell's mother Stephanie Coleman worked in the field of early childhood development. Due to being raised in a military household, Tirrell moved constantly throughout his early childhood throughout the United States, living in places such as the military base Camp Lejeune in North Carolina, and Honolulu, Hawaii; he and his family had the opportunity to meet Miss Hawaii of 1989. In his early life, Tirrell was deeply intrigued in art, video games, movies, and eventually music. Reading comic books and watching his favorite films. Tirrell developed a knack for writing stories and sketching original characters, he even taught himself how to sing, play the keyboard, and guitar, and written many original songs. In 2004, he traditionally graduated from The Jim Henson School of Arts Northwestern High School, located in Hyattsville, Maryland. Afterwards he studied at the Art Institute of Washington and majored in Media Arts and Animation. During his time at Northwestern High school, Tirrell met various friends Matthew Thurmon, and Patricia Renderos, that shared his vision of film-making, and still share that vision today. The first short film that he wrote, produced, directed, edited, and even composed the score and original music was 'A Book By It's Cover (2016) (Short)'. The following film he developed was the 2016 short film 'Split!', which garnered him several wins and selections.
