Maya Claridge is an actress, singer and songwriter originally from Denver, Colorado. Playing both comedic and dramatic roles, Maya brings a unique depth to every role. Starting her career in theatre at the age of eight years old, Maya fell in love with performing, and by the age of eleven began pursuing a career in television and film, as well as stage. At the age of twelve she won the National Youth Arts Award for her role of Alice in Alice in Wonderland the musical and in 2016 she was awarded the Heart of Broomfield Youth Award for her outstanding community service on the Bullied to Bold tour, wherein she uses her talents to reach out to today's youth in an anti-bullying campaign called, Bullied to Bold, (www.BulliedToBold.com) speaking to middle school classrooms, assemblies and youth organizations about the effects of bullying and how to take steps to overcome it. She has also authored a book entitled, PUT IT DOWN: GOING FROM BULLIED TO BOLD, available in paperback and ebook from Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Smashwords. In 2017 Maya was selected to attend the NYU-TISCH School of the Arts High School Summer program (New Studio) where she studied with Tony award-winning actors in a 4-week intensive, earning six hours of college credit. Her single debut song, produced by Marc M-Doc Williams and C-Ray of Indasoul records, and music video, PUT IT DOWN, shows both her powerful vocal and message and has won numerous awards in film festivals across the nation and around the world. Represented by Big Fish Talent, WTManagement and The Wayne Agency, Maya continues vocal, acting, dance and film training while working on various theatrical and film projects and finishing on-line school.
