Julien Ringdahl

Born and raised on the Rivera coast of France where later on in his mid-teens studied in Copenhagen, Denmark. This is where he became a professional trained ballet dancer after graduating from the Royal Danish ballet school. Soon after he joined the famous troupe at the New York City Ballet where he later pursued a Soloist carrier in Miami. Only lately has Julien Ringdahl been directing documentary and short films and his passion for the creative world of storytelling through to film. Film making stems from an initial interest in stage performance where he learned how to shape stories through his career as a performing dancer, this has later developed him as a film photographer which brings a very unique and definitive style. Soon after embarking on his new career, he has had the great opportunity to create films for the National Danish Broadcasting Channel - DRK. Which has lead to Julien's documentary film '1,2,3 Dance' with a Silver award at FIPA film festival prize 'March2012' followed with the selection for the 30th FIFA film festival in Montreal 2012. October 2013 Julien premiered on the NDBC with his second documentary film 'Macbeth' which evolves around the Royal Playhouse which goes behind the curtain and meets the artists and their challengers. In 2014 he launched his third and latest documentary film 'Step by Step' for National Danish Broadcast Channel. Recently beginning of 2015 Julien has joined the advertising company Unfold the Umbrella which has earned it's highly respected reputation as a full service agency by creating beautiful digital experiences for clients such as Nike Germany, Ikea, Puma, Audi, Hypovereinsbank, Saxo Bank. This agency has lately achieved the ability to attach a strategic and thoughtful approach to digital content which has proven to give them an advantage over larger agencies. Julien's main belief is to blending art and technology which shall yield the most meaningful and enduring interactive experiences. Since the first day with the agency he has strive to embraced this formula and baked it into the culture, and is proud to be part of the great team behind the company Unfold the Umbrella. Ringdahl is currently based in Copenhagen.
