Hamzah Tarzan was born in 1982 in Mecca, to Aydin Tarzan and Ahmed Tarzan. His parents were both born to Turkish families. Hamzah spent his younger years in Jeddah. He went to KFUPM, but dropped out to pursue his entertainment career. Among his early directing efforts was Carrom (2011). A short film, that got nominated and won awards. In 2016, he directed Mike Boy (2017), a movie about An orphaned waiter who is forced to carry out dangerous missions for a powerful secret society in exchange for the truth about his past. The movie was his thesis project and first feature film. In 2017 Hamzah graduated from New York Film Academy, BFA in Filmmaking with an honor degree.
