Derrick Mangin

Derrick Mangin was born and raised in Washington, Indiana. During Junior and High School, Derrick performed in many plays and musicals for both the school's music/drama department as well as the local theater. Immediately following high school graduation in 2002, Derrick enlisted into the United States Marine Corps. Derrick was honorably discharged after 13 years of service in April 2015. During his time in the Marines, Derrick served one tour in Iraq as well as two tours aboard ship where he was a helicopter mechanic. In addition to being a helicopter mechanic, Derrick excelled as an instructor and spent 9 years as a marksmanship instructor as well as 4 years as a suicide prevention master trainer. Derrick is married to Kimberly Mangin and together have three children. Reagan, the eldest child, was born on 5 Januaury 2005. His younger two children, Spencer and Violet, are twins born on 11 November 2011.
