Koralp Gumus

Koralp Gümüs is a director and second director for TV serials and short films, known for Baraj (2020), Siyah Beyaz Ask (2019) Güzel Günler Görecegiz (2012), Izafi (2006). Koralp Gümüs was born in Eskisehir on June 9, 1983, he began studying cinema at Istanbul Bilgi University. In Bilgi University his guides were Tuna Erdem, Ilker Canikligil, Oktem Basol, Feride Cicekoglu and Dervis Zaim. He took his first short film prize as best short film with his license graduation project Relative(Izafi) from Plato Short Film Festival in 2007. After his graduation he went to Agri, Dogubayazit for his army duty. It was a good opportunity for him to learn more about his own country's culture and people. After that he made three more short films named Bleeding (2009),Love at plan sequence (2010) and Nefs (2015). Between 2007 and 2014 he works as an assistant director in commercials, future films and TV serials. After 2014 he began to work as a second director for Tv serials. So far he made seven short films mostly by his own direction, writing, production and cinematography... Also he got a master degree from Film and Drama department of Kadir Has University in 2019. Nowadays he tries to get the support of Turkish Cinema Ministry in order to make a feature film project.
