Professional swimmer, Emily Overholt was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Her parents are Deborah and Carman Overholt. Growing up in West Vancouver, British Columbia, she began swimming at 8 years old. As a teen, she went to Collingwood High School, where she graduated in June 2015. Emily attended the University of British Columbia, studying Science Studies. In 2015, she won a bronze medal at the World Championships and a bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
