Dara Safvatnia born in Brighton, England, began his film career age sixteen making short films. Following an award from UCA for best short documentary age eighteen, Dara soon began to achieve a broad range of film experience in directing, cinematography, editing and writing. Dara began working for acclaimed video production companies including Somesuch, Primary Wave and Uproxx working on various high profile projects for Warner Bros and Honda before his directorial debut film Supernova screened at Cinecity film festival. Dara's proven ability to work well with actors led him to direct talent from the BBC as well as American actors during the filming of his short film Audition in Los Angeles. In 2015 Dara studied an MA in Directing Fiction at the University of London, Goldsmiths where he directed Inferno, Dara's most ambitious film to date, which was screened at the Curzon cinema in Soho, London and other international film festivals. Dara is working for Los Angeles based production company Uproxx as a documentary filmmaker, editor and YouTube personality, with his latest film on mental health receiving international acclaim from Warner Music Group and YouTube achieving hundreds of thousands of views.
