Stefano Raspa was born in 1989 and he's a member of WGI (Writers Guild Italy). He has graduated with a B.A. degree in Cultural Anthropology (University of Bologna, Italy, 2011) and with an MSc degree in Anthropology & Development Studies (Radboud University, Nijmegen, Netherlands, 2013). He studied screenwriting, filmmaking and film and television production between New York (New York Film Academy), Rome (Luiss Business School) and Prague (Prague Film School). Afterwards he worked as a Documentary Filmmaker and a Film Editor for the Smithsonian Arctic Centre (Anchorage, Alaska, USA). In 2014 he wrote "Lilith", a short film which won as the best film at the 48 Hours Amsterdam Horror Film Race. In the same year, he won the 2nd place of the Van Gogh Film Award at the Amsterdam International Film Festival, with a screenplay entitled "Wolves From The Midnight Lunch". In 2015 he debuted as a director and a producer with the short film "A Twisted Trick-Il Capolavoro Perduto" that won the 1st prize "Ti Racconto in Corto", dedicated to John Fante from "Fondazione PescaraAbruzzo". Afterwards, he made two more short films: Strike - La Crisi (Reggio Film Festival Official Selection 2016), and "Haze" (finalist at the Amarcort Film Festival, Rimini 2016, Winner of Best Cinematography at Marenia Short Award 2017, and Winner of Best Short Film at Prague Film Awards 2018). In July 2016, he was selected to participate in a Filmmaking workshop sponsored by "Fondazione Ente Dello Spettacolo". The result of this workshop is a collective short film, "Cosa Vedi", which was presented at the 73° International Venice Film Festival. He currently collaborates as an Assistant Producer and an Assistant Director with independent production companies based in Rome, and he's working on his first feature documentary film.
