Jesamine Katzman, Actress: Waters. Jesamine Katzman is an award winning actress (Best Female Lead Actor, Yes, We're Open), vocalist & dancer, known for Waters (2016), Power of 3 (2016), Yes, We're Open (2015) and Bastard (2015). Jesamine was born and and resides in Oklahoma with her Mom & Dad. Her love for the performing arts began after taking a musical theatre class when she was 5 years old. She has been performing ever since! Professionally trained in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical & Hip Hop, Jesamine is also a member of the Legacy Project's Watchmen Hip-Hop Crew & Production Team. Jesamine also enjoys singing, trains at Preslar Music and is a member of her school's competitive select/show choir. She is also a recurrent vocalist during the Olio in the longest running show in the nation, The Drunkard & the Olio at Tulsa Spotlight Theatre, directed by Joe Sears, Tony Nominee, of Greater Tuna fame. Recently, Jesamine made her debut as Mary Morgan in the Drunkard. A 7th grade Honors student, Gifted & Talented and a member of the DUKE TIP program identified as intellectually and academically gifted, Jesamine received the distinction of being selected to participate in a new pilot Pre-Alegebra Honors Progam in her school district in 2016. Having performed with several professional, youth and community theatre companies in Oklahoma, Jesamine's favorite performances include: Rosie in "Really Rosie the Musical", Helen Keller in "The Miracle Worker" with Sapulpa Community Theatre, Tracey Atkinson, Ballet Girl in "Billy Elliot the Musical" with nationally recognized Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma, Gloria in "Wait Until Dark" with Sand Springs Community Theatre and Jack in "Into the Woods" with Sapulpa Community Theatre. In the summer 2015, Jesamine's debut in Lyric Theatre's "Billy Elliot" enabled her to become an equity member candidate with the AEA. In 2015, she won first place for her performance of "Giants in the Sky" from "Into the Woods" during the Will Roger's Frolic Talent Show at the Will Roger's Museum in Claremore, OK. Her performance as 'Ignorance' in American Theatre Company's production of "A Christmas Carol" was reviewed as "impressive" by James Watt, Scene Writer of the Tulsa World in 2014. A professional theatre and film actress in the Oklahoma/Texas area, Jesamine has starred in leading roles in several independent short films, "Nothing to Fear" written and directed by Devyn Wilhm, "Yes, We're Open" written and directed by Yousef Kazemi, produced by Wendy Parker & Sharee Green (WeernProduction) and "Bastard: The Film" written and directed by Nzuri Za Austin, produced by Roar in the Rock Productions. Over the years, Jesamine has had the opportunity to train with nationally recognized, John D'Aquino, Japtheth Gordon, Cindy Osbrink (Osbrink Talent Agency), Ricki Maslar (CSA, Maslar Casting) & Robert Haas (Innovative Artists) of Los Angeles, California. An up and coming youth actress, Jesamine is determined to become a recognized name in the Oklahoma market and surrounding areas, with the goal to make her debut in the Los Angeles market in television and/or film.
