Before You Exit is a pop group formed in 2007 by Connor McDonough with his friends Braiden Wood and Thomas Silvers. Connor had never taken a guitar lesson in his life and played it by ear. Braiden played the rhythm guitar and Thomas was the drummer. Riley McDonough joined in 2008 and became their lead singer and in 2009, they released their first EP, A Short Story Long. The group became a supporting act in the middle of All Time Low's Small Package Tour in 2010 and their Dirty Work Tour in 2011. In 2011, the same year, they released their second EP Letting Go and released their mini-headlining, the Next Big Thing Tour. In January, 2012, Before You Exit released their single "End of the World," but rerecorded it the next year. In August that year, Toby, Connor and Riley's younger brother, joined the group. The lineup of the group changed to the trio of the brothers and Thomas and Braiden (and eventually Ryan Wheeler) for live performances. In February, 2013, Before You Exit released their third EP I Like That and that summer, they appeared on Cody Simpson's Paradise Tour as the supporting act. In early 2014, Braiden announced he was leaving the group for a solo career and he later released his own EP Be Free, Be Strong. Ryan SJ Wheeler took his place on the bass guitar. In March that year, Before You Exit released a new single "Dangerous" and "Heart Like California" was released a couple months later. Before You Exit has toured with various different artists, released three EPs, seven singles, and have finished their Europe Tour with Christina Grimmie.
