Tony McGee

Born in 1954, Anthony McGee was educated in Chelsea, London. He left school to work at the Pinewood film studios, where he learned the technique of taking photographs on the move. He won numerous competitions and quickly turned professional, at the age of 17. He took his first cover photo for Harpers and Queen at the age of 18. McGee began to work constantly, contributing to leading magazines throughout the world: Milan, Paris, New York, Los Angeles. He now lives in London with his wife Sandy, and sons Jack and son, actor Max McGee. Tony McGee has directed in excess of two hundred TV commercials and is working on a series of books to be published in the next four years. His fashion and beauty photography, as well as his love of dance and movement, constantly inspire him. He is credited as taking the first ever professional picture of Kate Moss and has an extensive collection of David Bowie photography he took after working with David Bowie on several occasions throughout his career.
