Janie Sloan was born in Durham NC, where she has been all of her life and continues to reside. Acting has always been her passion since she was 9 years old, but it was a dream deferred due to her upbringing and lack of support. She was voted female class clown in high school, due to her constant jokes and her ability to have quick come backs. The way she says things has a great impact on why people continue to find her very funny, because of her raspy voice. When she was 26 years old she took an acting class at the Manbites Dog theater in Durham NC. She took a break from acting and went to school to become a nurse. In 2014 she went to John Casablanca model and acting, but decided to leave in the middle of the program to branch out on her own. She has appeared on Fatal Attraction, Two Wrongs, and a couple of short films like Not Now and Illegitimately Black. She has written and Directed her first feature film titled Take A Stan And has written her own TV sitcoms and continues to follow her dream.
