Annita Adamou is a Los Angeles-based actress extensively trained in various techniques and acting schools including Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute New York, Atlantic Acting School NY and T.Schreiber Acting Studio NY. She holds an MFA in Acting from Apollonio Conservatory Athens and a B.A in English Language and Literature with special focus in the theatre of Shakespeare, Arthur Miller and Samuel Beckett. She is a recipient of the Laurel Hummel Scholarship from UCLA Extension for the Acting Certificate program. She's played multiple leading roles in film including 'Berenice', an adaptation of the titular story by Edgar Allan Poe which received awards in London and Athens Greece.In theatre she has successfully portrayed difficult female characters often in plays adapted from the works of poetic and literary geniuses. She is a martial artist of Kung Fu and Tai Chi. She is a member of Film Independent , American Film Institute and a voter for the Independent Spirit Awards. She's been to many major film festivals, Cannes, Biennale, Berlinale, LA Film Festival and AFI Fest to name a few. In her free time she likes joining the Skid Row Running Club founded by LA court judge Craig Mitchell in support of people battling with homelessness and drug addiction.She met the group at the premier of the awarded documentary "Skid Row Marathon" at the LA Film Festival.
