Brigitte Bertrand

Brigitte Bertrand is a French-American actress born Brigitte Nathalie Lemoine in Santa Rosa, California. Bertrand is first generation American, her father is is French from Marseille with his family from Brittany, and her mother is from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Her ancestry includes French, Dutch, Spanish Basque, Italian and Native American. Through her nomadic childhood Brigitte attended French & English bilingual schools and lived primarily in Northern California and in the South of France. She began theater and acting young and studied multiple types of dance, but took more interest in academics. She started modeling during high school in San Francisco. She continued her education at University of California Santa Barbara, getting in 2013 her Bachelor's Degree in Communications. Brigitte lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina where she took up her mother's native tongue, and received an educational grant to blog about her travels. After college she moved to San Francisco to become a certified yoga teacher, and started to DJ through the instruction of her father. That same year she moved to Los Angeles to pursue her modeling career, and decided to take acting seriously. She has appeared in several small roles in short movies and music videos including the short movie Todd (2015), and the web series Behind The Blinds (2016). For the short movie ANNA (2017) Brigitte worked with Russian director Max Derin who had a vision, and wanted the text to be entirely improvised. While in Los Angeles Brigitte started writing music, finishing 6 demos, and singing live in various locations across the area including The Oyster House, The Standard Downtown and Soho House. Brigitte has produced, edited and come up with concepts for her videos and has started using for her music the name "La Dame de Lumière" translated from French to the "Lady of Light." After several years in Los Angeles, she decided in 2018 to make a change and moved to Paris, France to study acting at Atelier Blanche Salant Paul Weaver in the 11th district. Brigitte resides in Aix-En-Provence, France (dated November 2020).
