One of six children, Alfred was born in 1980 to Church of England vicar, Geoffrey Howard and schoolteacher Joan. His place of birth was the City of Salford (UK), now home of the BBC's Media City operations centre and birthplace of Albert Finney, Christopher Eccleston and Ben Kingsley. He attended Langworthy Road Primary School before Buile Hill High School, where his friends included Wes Butters (Radio 1 Top 40 Chart Show, Love Actually). With the exception of three years at the University of Leeds, Alfred lived in his home town until he met his wife in 2006; at which time he moved to Horwich, Bolton (UK). He now lives in the town of Blackrod close to there. After studies in Expressive Arts (Music, Drama, Script Writing) Alfred began to act in theatre and has played roles including Edward III (Edward II - Christopher Marlow), Bates (Henry V - Shakespeare), Donaldbain (Macbeth - Shakespeare) and Tom Wingfield (The Glass Menagerie - Tennessee Williams). In 2010 Alfred wrote and produced the play Justice at the Salford Arts Theatre (formerly The Salford Playhouse). In 2011 made his screen debut as Vincent in the independent short film The Resourceful Enterprises of Penny and Bill. Alfred has been a resident actor with the events company Murder Mystery Productions since 2009 and between creative projects works as a specialist computer technician in schools.
